York Woman Dies in Crash Near McCool Junction

A 19-year-old York woman has died following a crash south of McCool Junciton.
York County Sheriff's Sergeant Brad Melby said the accident was reported at 8:25 p.m. Saturday on Hwy. 81 near Road 3.
According to Melby, Natasha Carranza was traveling south on Hwy. 81 about a mile south of McCool Junction when her car crossed the road and hit a power pole.
Melby says Carranza was pronounced deceased at the scene. Carranza was not wearing a seat belt.
Officials are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident and determine if speed or alcohol were involved.
