In Wilderness Park, on Lincoln's Southwest side, a new bridge could, in the near future, replace the now closed north (bike) bridge.
That bridge and the south bridge in the same park were shut down two years ago after the south bridge collapsed.
City officials are trying to secure a grant to pay for replacing the north bridge, which would open up more of the park to bikers and hikers. The estimated cost: 385,000 dollars.
