Conservationists are speaking out and trying to protect their land.
Representatives from eleven different groups showed up to a round table meeting hosted by Senator Tom Carlson Of Holdrege Wednesday morning.
Carlson's bill -LR332- moves to limit the use of easements by some non-government organizations to a ten year cap.
The bill would also limit the Nebraska Environmental Trust's ability to designate funds.Carlson says feedback from the community through meetings like the one held this morning at the State Capitol are critical to his bill's passage.
