It's that time of year again, the State of Nebraska is inspecting fireworks stands to make sure they are following the rules.
On Wednesday, 1011 joined up with Ray Nance as he inspected fireworks stands in Denton, NE. Nance is with the State Fire Marshal's Office.
Inspectors check tents to make sure they are following all the rules and regulations.
For example, tables have to be far enough apart from each other, and
cars can't park less than 10 feet away from any tent. Also, there must be fire extinguishers present, exit signs must be posted, and obviously no smoking is allowed.
Violations can result in a license being revoked.
