Teens at Beatrice High School just got a hands-on lesson in driver safety.
Out in the school parking lot Wednesday afternoon, they got to hop on "rides" like the so-called Seatbelt Convincer. As it turns out, teens in Gage County don't wear their seatbelts as often as teens do in other parts of Nebraska.
The goal of it all: get teens to buckle up and put down the cell phone and other distractions so common these days.
