It's a sad day for the Cornhusker Marching Band.
22 year old piccolo player Andy Krueger died of a sudden heart attack Monday morning.
Band members describe him as joyful, selfless and kind.
He was tallest member of the band at six foot eight inches and he played the smallest instrument, the piccolo.
But friends say they'll remember his larger than life personality.
Band Director Tony Falcone says Andy's biggest impact was the example he set for others by always being positive, never complaining and always being willing to lend a hand.
Andy was a senior computer science major.
Besides playing the piccolo, he also served as a rank leader in the band.
It's unclear what caused Andy to have a heart attack at such an early age.
The band plans to wear red ribbons on Friday in honor of his memory.
