Food Bank of Lincoln has won a new Toyota.

John Mabry of the food bank says the waiting was very hard. On day 63, the waiting was over. Mabry says Toyota contacted them with the good news.

The Toyota Hundred Cars for Good Program is giving 100 cars to non-profits over the course of 100 consecutive days, strictly based on votes from the public, via Facebook.

Mabry says "hunger is a serious problem in Lincoln and Nebraska."

Mabry was thankful to everyone who took the time to vote for the food bank. He added, "we can better serve our 16 counties, get out in to the small communities as needed, help our back pack program, do more work in the rural areas and to spread the word."

The next step for the Food Bank of Lincoln will be to choose their Toyota. Mabry did not know when it will be delivered.
