Posted: 6:58 PM Tom Hutson of Red Cloud started the Nebraska Handwriting Contest in 1991. He did so in honor of his mother, Eva Hutson, who was widely know around Webster County for her fine cursive. A pair of penmanship pals from York were recently recognized for their carefully crafted cursive in the 23rd Annual Nebraska Handwriting contest.
