More than 400 racers of all ages were in it to win it in northeast Lincoln. The Briggs & Stratton engines only provide 5 and a half horsepower but you better believe they can get the job done. It's a little loud, but if you like bumper to bumper action then this fast and furious fun is for you.

Alan Schwindt has enjoyed teaching his seven-year-old son John all about racing. When John's on the track his mission is clear, "Going past someone so I can get in the lead."

Alan says there's a lot to be learned from go-kart racing, "We have the R-D-R, responsibility, discipline, respect. You learn a lot of those three things."
John says there are two other important aspects of competing on the track, "That you get to win and you get trophies."

Skip Brown has been racing go-karts nearly 30 years. He's definitely not a kid but he enjoys acting like one, "I'm 51 goin' on 14. I just love doing these types of things, racing, all types of racing, it beats laying on the couch all afternoon. It's just a riot, it's a rush you know, it's a natural high, adrenaline gets going, things happen pretty fast, it's amazing that when you're in them, things happen faster than when you're watching them."

If you'd like to join in on the oval action they'll be racing go-karts again at the end of the month. The 3-Day Turkey Chase will take place at the Lancaster Events Center beginning on Thursday, November 27th.
