There are many, many dedicated Husker fans in Nebraska but there can't be many that are more fanatical than Jon & Kathy Pounds of Blair.

They went to the Arizona State/Nebraska game on September 24, 1988...and they haven't missed a game since then, home or away.

This dynamic duo has now attended 301 consecutive Husker football games.

Kathy attended her first Husker football game in 1982. And Jon has listened to or watched every NU game since the 60's. Together, they're a match made in Husker heaven. Jon says, "She loves all the things that I do, so Husker football, it just fell right into place."

When Nebraska played at Michigan in November, these two faithful Big Red boosters saw their 300th straight Husker football game together, "We're absolutely proud of that. We've seen them lose, we've seen them win, we've seen heart breakers, we've seen joyous ones. It's amazing, it's totally amazing when you stop and think about it and the places that you go that you see."

Together, Jon says, they've witnessed 139 straight road games, "We're proud of the fact that it doesn't matter if you're playing Northwest Louisiana, Pacific, Texas, Miami, it doesn't matter, you just love to watch Nebraska football and so there's never a thought of not going."

Not surprisingly, Jon and Kathy will be attending the Husker bowl game in Orlando on Monday. And for the record, that will be number 302 in a row.
