For the past 8 years I've been asking viewers the question, 'What makes the good life great for you?"
Now, I'd like to take a chance to let people know just what makes the good life great for me.
This is the 400th edition of Lance's Journal.
The very first Journal focused on the voice of the Huskers, Jim Rose. From there, I headed up to Valentine where I met a lady that was 113 years old and the 4th oldest person in the world. I got to know a Kearney saddle maker that wanted to be just like his dad.
I've gotten to see childhood dreams come true and I've witnessed a very successful marriage proposal.
As I crisscrossed the Cornhusker State, I've featured world class collectors...from M&M's to Toy Story memorabilia. And I've met great patriots.
Viewers may have noticed a few of my favorite topics along the way. I love food. Like DeAngelo's pasta sauce in Firth and Wacky Wingy Wednesdays at Bubba's in Strang.
Music has always been a favorite theme of mine. I can't sing, but I now know some people that can. American Idol's Chris Daughtry and Maroon 5.
And of course, I do like my sports. From 90 year old judo instructors, to bowling, to monster trucking, to weight lifting, to horse racing, to hoops. In the end, it's all about the people.
