The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men’s basketball player of the week for November 15 -November 21, 2010. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2010-2011 GPAC Players of the Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Concordia guard Tyler Byrd is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Byrd, a junior from Bennington, Nebraska, averaged 22 points and six rebounds a game as the Bulldogs went 2-0 on the week on won their league opener at home over Morningside 76-67. For the week he was 15-30 from the field, including going 6-12 from behind the three point line. He also made 8-10 free throws as Concordia is now 5-1.
