And you thought NBA players were hard to manage...These athletes can be plenty stubborn without even going on strike.
Donkeys were the stars in donkey basketball at the Franklin High School gymnasium, in a fundraising match for Future Farmers of America.
The team of hoofed hoopers were brought to Franklin so local riders could test their shooting skills with their new barebacked buddies.
Riders agreed that the game is none too easy.
Rider David Bolte commented: "I think it might be harder than the NBA. I sweated a lot out there, and I was only out there for about five minutes."
Franklin FFA Chapter Adviser David Rocker: "I think it is pretty tough, you know you see some of those guys are pretty good shots out there and they'll miss a little layup or something because being on the donkey is a whole lot different from standing on your own two feet.
And some of the donkeys have different attitudes. Some will drive right to the basket for you and others will not let you move them an inch."
The competition was pure donkey-dynamite with fans on the edge of their seat for the next donkey-dunk.
These athletes didn't need expensive air-filled shoes for their brand of fancy footwork.
FFA member Jacob Frerichs: "We've really got to clean their hooves and stuff to make sure they don't scratch the gym floor."
