High School Spring Baseball League Provides Games for a Niche

The crack of the bat will sound a lot sweeter for high school baseball players who do not have a chance to play spring ball. If a player is cut from a Class A program or he is from a small town high school that does not offer spring ball, the Ultimate Baseball Academy's Spring League provides a place to play and offers a chance to get ready for the summer season.

"The best thing about it is it gives the kids an opportunity to play baseball. There are a lot of kids that love to play ball and don't get the opportunity. I was in the Wayne area for 20 years and at the time the kids ran track. They didn't have the opportunity to play baseball but with our spring league they can still run track and play baseball on Sundays," said John Manganaro of The Ultimate Baseball Academy.

He was the Wayne State College baseball coach for twenty years.

"We will try to get them as many games as possible to give them repetitions and just have an overall good time for the kids who are not playing for their high school team," added Josh Perreault of the Ultimate Baseball Academy.
