Iowa State goes into November with a chance to become bowl eligible, secure a winning record and even win the Big 12 North.

Winning the North would be a stretch. But the Cyclones need just one victory to become bowl eligible.

The problem is the schedule, which is downright nasty.

Iowa State (5-4, 3-2) hosts No. 9 Nebraska on Saturday, then travels to Colorado.

The Buffaloes are struggling, but the Cyclones have won only once in Boulder since 1982.

Iowa State finishes the season at home against No. 14 Missouri.

After playing the Cornhuskers 104 times, this will be Iowa State's last Big 12 game against Nebraska.
