Lexington, Ky. – Despite its current five-match winning streak, the Nebraska Wesleyan University volleyball team remained No. 19 in this week’s AVCA Division III Coaches Poll that was released Tuesday (Oct. 12).

The Prairie Wolves received 151 total points to sit at No. 19 for the second straight week. Nebraska Wesleyan is currently 18-2 on the year, winning their last five matches dating back to Sept. 22. Washington (Mo.) is still unbeaten at 21-0 and ranked No. 1. Three teams in the top 25 have only one loss, then five teams including NWU have two losses.

Last week, Nebraska Wesleyan won all three road matches, including a thrilling 3-2 victory at NAIA No. 19 Dordt College on Friday night. The Prairie Wolves also swept Concordia, 3-0, and defeated Dakota Wesleyan, 3-1, on Saturday in Mitchell, S.D.

NWU concludes its four match road swing this Wednesday (Oct. 13) with a match at Midland University in Fremont. The Prairie Wolves defeated the Warriors, 3-0, on Sept. 7 in Lincoln in the first meeting between the two teams.
