Nebraska Game and Parks Commission officials say some of its offices will be open on Veterans Day, which is two days before firearm deer season opens.

The following offices will be selling permits on Friday: Lincoln headquarters, district offices in Alliance, Bassett, Kearney, Norfolk and North Platte.

The Omaha metro office and the Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium office south of Gretna also will be open.

Their hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Deer permits also may be bought through the Game and Parks website, OutdoorNebraska.org.
