Hunters in Nebraska killed a record 76 bull elk so far this fall.
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says that's 10 more than were killed last year.
Bull elk season ended in most parts of the state on Sunday. Some bull elk hunting is still allowed in the Boyd Unit through Dec. 31.
The commission says 39 cows were taken during the first half of the antlerless elk season. The second half opens Dec. 1.
