Nebraska Wesleyan continues to lead the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men's Golf Championships after posting a low round of 291 on Monday afternoon in Fremont at GPAC Qualifier #3. The Prairie Wolves hold a 12-stroke lead heading into the final round of play on May 7.
Ryan Kiewiet of Northwestern College is the clubhouse leader after three rounds with a 221 (+6). He holds a one-shot lead over Drew Taylor of Nebraska Wesleyan and Brandon Thompson of Morningside College. Rory Doll from Nebraska Wesleyan had the low round on Monday with a 66.
The fourth and final GPAC Men's Golf Qualifier will be played in Mitchell, South Dakota, on May 7 at Wild Oak. The champion of the league (or runner-up if NWU places first because NWU plays NCAA DIII for postseason) will advance to the NAIA National Golf Championships in Salem, Oregon, May 22-25 at the Creekside Country Club. The NAIA Men's National Championships are hosted by the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
