Authorities have identified the 49-year-old man who drowned this weekend in a western Nebraska reservoir near Sutherland.
James F. Decent, of Paxton, died Saturday. Authorities believe the death was an accidental drowning.
The Lincoln County Sheriff's office says alcohol was a factor in Decent's death.
Authorities were called to the Sutherland Reservoir about 21 miles west of North Platte around 5:41 p.m. Saturday.
Family members found the man in the water and he was not responding. Someone performed CPR, but the man could not be revived. He died later at a North Platte hospital.
