Motorcyclist in Serious Condition After Crashing into Cornfield

Posted: 2:21 AM Jul 11, 2012
Reporter: 10/11 News

The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating a motorcycle crash in north Lincoln.

Nebraska State Patrol Sergeant Joel Bergman says just after 11:00 p.m. Tuesday, troopers responded to a crash on North 27th Street at Arbor Road.

Bergman said it appears the driver did not stop at the T-intersection and ended up going through the ditch and about 35 feet into a corn field.

Crews from Raymond Rural Fire and Lincoln Fire & Rescue responded to the call and transported the driver to BryanLGH West with non-life threatening but serious injuries.

Bergman said it appears speed played a factor in the crash. Authorities are working to determine if alcohol is also involved.
