Driver in Critical Condition After Motorcycle Crash- Stephanie Morrissey reports LIVE
Lincoln Police say a motorcycle driver who was injured in a crash Sunday night is now in critical but stable condition. Lincoln Police say the accident happened on North 1st Street between Cornhusker Highway and Dawes Avenue. A truck, heading north, struck 51-year-old Robert J. Wing when he turned east in front of the truck. Police say Wing was taken to Bryan LGH West with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured in the accident. Witness, Crystal Norris, who is a former nurse, says she was leaving a nearby business when she heard the accident. Norris says her and two others went to perform CPR on Wing at the scene. Harris says Wing only had a slight pulse as she was giving him CPR. When the ambulance arrived, paramedics took over CPR for Norris. Police do not believe alcohol played a role in the accident.
