The Cowboy Recreation and Nature Trail has reopened from Norfolk's TaHaZouka Park to the west end of Battle Creek.
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says work on the 11-mile stretch included replacement of a bridge and various repairs.
The trail and bridge were damaged during the 2010 flooding of the Elkhorn River.
The commission says the Cowboy Trail used to be part of the Chicago & North Western railroad's Cowboy Line. The trail runs 321 miles across northern Nebraska, from Norfolk to Chadron.
