Organizers say that up to 15,000 students will participate in Big Red Welcome events at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Concerts, rallies, free food and other events will be scheduled for August 17 through August 24.

Events on Aug. 17 include a convocation for new students, a "Tunnel Walk" and a Cornhusker Marching Band concert in Memorial Stadium.

The last scheduled event, on August 24, is the Red Fever Dance at the Nebraska Union.
