Extended Hours for Alcohol Sales in Lincoln - Laura Berry Reports
A city ordinance that allows Lincoln retailers to sell beer and wine on Sunday mornings took effect on June 10th.
Store owners 10/11 spoke with say that not many people have taken advantage of the change. Store owners say they believe many people are are still unaware of the change.
Dave Budzinski owns Kong's Liquor near 56th and Holdrege Streets. Budzinski is advertising expanded hours. In the past, the store didn't open until noon on Sundays, but a city ordinance has him expanding his hours.
Starting on July 19th, Kong's and other retailers will be able to sell hard alcohol during the extended hours as well as beer and wine.
