Police Arrest Teen, Recover Stolen Car - Cassie Anderson Reports

Lincoln police are looking for more suspects in a stolen car case. They say one teen is in custody after recovering a stolen car.

Lincoln Police Captain Jason Stille says the car was stolen just before 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say the 19-year-old victim was near 48th and O Streets when he was approached by four black males that demanded the keys to his 1991 Chrysler New Yorker.

The victim turned the keys over and was unharmed.

Captain Stille says shortly after the car was stolen the suspects replaced the original license plates.

The original plates were tossed in a nearby dumpster and later recovered.

Approximately two hours after the car was reported stolen an officer saw the vehicle that matched description and noticed the plates didn't match and made the stop.

The 17-year-old suspect was stopped on 27th and Highway 6 in the Supersaver parking lot where he was arrested.

Police are still looking for three black males that exited the vehicle during the stop.
