Joey Mumaugh, 31 was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes right around the time his first son was born.
He says it was the wake-up call he needed to take control of his life.
He wanted to be around to take care of his family.
So the then 415 pound man started working out and eating right.
He works out, incorporating boot camp at least 3 times a week, weight training and 4 mile runs.
His transformation is incredible! He's shed nearly 130 pounds and is off his diabetes medication.
"Not many people can say when your 31 that I'm in the best physical shape I've ever been in. And it's true. I get better every day!" Mumaugh said.
Mumaugh says even his 3-year-old son has caught on. He enjoys eating his veggies and gets upset when mom and dad go on runs without him. Mumaugh says his transformation has been a wake-up call to his entire family, including his brothers and his parents. They all keep tabs on each other, making sure they hit the gym and eat right.
