A driver was taken to the hospital following a crash at 17th and X Streets.
Just before 3:30 a.m. Sunday, police were called to the intersection for a one car accident. Officials at the scene said the car appeared to have been heading north on 17th and did not stop for the traffic signs at X Street.
The car crossed the raised median and hit a street sign then crossed the road glancing off of a light pole, knocking the light to the ground. The car then continued another 70 feet or so before coming to a stop.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue transported the driver to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Officers at the scene said they are investigating whether alcohol played a factor in the crash.
