Child Sex Assault Investigation- Cassie Anderson reports

In May of 2012, a man reported to Lancaster County Sheriff’s investigators that Robert G. Schuster, 32, formally of the Martell area had sexually abused him as a child starting in 2005.

Further investigation by the Sheriff’s Office found there were 3 additional victims in the Lancaster County area.

Two of the victims reported multiple incidents occurring in Council Bluffs, IA between 2008 and 2010.

The Council Bluffs Police Department, in conjunction with the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Schuster and charged him with 22 felony counts of 3rd degree sexual assault.

A Pottawattamie County, Iowa, jailer said Schuster remained in custody on Friday, pending $250,000 bail.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incidents and believes Schuster, who goes by Robby, may have victimized additional children between 2002-2009.

The known male victims were between 7-16 years of age and were generally acquainted through their families with Schuster.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office at 402-441-7725.

The mug shot is from 2002 and would be how Schuster’s victims would recognized him.

Schuster is currently being held at the Pottawattamie County Jail in Iowa. He has 2 felony Lancaster County warrants for 1st degree sexual assault of a child as a result of this investigation.
