LINCOLN -- Brandon Sinnery was masterful, spinning a shutout to lead the Saltdogs (36-50) to a 7-0 rubber match victory over the Amarillo Sox in front of 4,339 fans at Haymarket Park Sunday evening.

Sinnery (4-0) scattered six hits, struck out four and walked one in his fourth victory in four starts at Haymarket. It was the first shutout tossed by a Lincoln starter and the third shutout overall by the 'Dogs.

The Saltdogs slugged three home runs: Mike Provencher belted a two-run shot in the first, his ninth. Matt Forgatch and Chris McMurray hit back-to-back home runs in the fourth to give Lincoln a 5-0 lead.

Ryan Mitchell (7-3) allowed five runs on eighth hits in four innings to take the loss.

Forgatch finished the day 3-for-3 with two runs and a two-run home run, his seventh. Bryan Pounds turned in a multi-hit game as well.

The Saltdogs open up a four-game series with the Sioux Falls Pheasants Monday night at 6:35 p.m. Radio coverage begins at 6:05 p.m. on KFOR 1240.
