Stars Win 3-2 In Overtime, Advance in USHL Playoffs

Lincoln Stars vs Fargo Force - USHL Playoffs (Game 4)

The Lincoln Stars are in the next round of the USHL Playoffs following a 3-2 overtime win against the Fargo Force on the road.

Fargo's Nate Arentz scored to put the Force up 1-0 and then Jonny Brodzinski scored to increased the lead to 2-0.

Lincoln got on the board when Bob Kinne lit the lamp in the second period to cut the Fargo's lead to 2-1. Jared Hanson scored for the Stars to even the score at 2-2 at the end of the 2nd period.

No scoring occured in the third period and then Brad Hawkinson found the back of the net to give the Stars a 3-2 overtime win.

Lincoln will face the winner of the Omaha/Waterloo series in the Western Conference finals with a trip to the Clark Cup Finals on the line. Dates and times for the series will be announced later.
