Stars Win on the Road, Take 2-1 Lead in Series

In a pivotal game 3 on the road, the Lincoln Stars get a 3-1 win over the Fargo Force and take a 2-1 lead in the best of five series.
Lincoln lit the lamp twice in the first period, beginning with a Paul LaDue powerplay goal on an assist from Brent Tate, giving the Stars a 1-0 lead.
Kevin Roy scored Lincoln's second goal of the first period on an assist by Paul LaDue, giving the Stars a 2-0 lead at the end of the 1st period.
Fargo's only goal of the game came in the second period when Gabe Guertler found the net on a powerplay goal, cutting the Stars lead to 2-1 at the second intermission.
Lincoln's only goal of the third period sealed the win for the Stars when Kevin Roy scored on an empty net with just 13 seconds left in the game.
Game 4 is set for Friday from Fargo and with a victory, the Stars win the series. The puck drops at 7:35 p.m.
