Speeding Up All-Star Saturday

Pleasanton's Colin Janitscheck is no stranger to setting records.

55 touchdown passes in the Bulldogs' spread offense that went 8-0 during the regular season before a second round playoff loss to Medicine Valley.

Now, Janitscheck has the opportunity to link back up with some of the 8 man's best for the 35th annual 8 man All Star Game.

"We ran spread last year for our offense and you can tell from the stats it was pretty good," he said. "With these guys they're all really good, so it helps out and talent wise we'll be able to use it pretty effectively."

One of those guys includes Jed Fenske, whose similar style with eventual Class D-2 champion Sargant makes running an All Star offense a little easier.

"We're trying to spread it out a little bit becuase they've got some bigger guys (on the East roster) so we have more speed. We'll have to use our speed to open up the field a little bit."

The 35th annual game is Saturday in Hastings. Kickoff will be at 1:30pm.
