From Seward's sensational run to Central's continued dominance, it was a prep season to remember in Nebraska. But who was the best of the best?

Best Team of 2011-2012

Seward Girl's Basketball: Few can match the dominance of the Lady Jays. 26 more wins, another perfect season, and another Class B state championship. The Lady Jays have now won 101 consecutive games.

Lincoln Southeast Football: The Knights are back on top! Lincoln Southeast earned their first state title in football since 2002. They capped off a 12-1 season with an upset of Omaha Burke in the Class A title game.

Omaha Central Basketball: Omaha Central does it again! The eagles, punctuating another perfect season with another Class A State Championship. It's Central's 6th title in the past 7 years.

Kearney Track and Field: The Bearcats are the class of Class A once more. The state's most decorated track and field team, dominant in their 2012 Class A State Title. It's Kearney's 14th state championship in the last 24 years.
