Send Kearney Little League Advances To LLWS Midwest Regional

The Kearney Little League baseball team will advance to the Little League World Series Regional after a win today over Blair Little League, 15-0.

Jared Wegner threw four scoreless inningd, allowing three hits and striking out eight.

Blake Quintana and Wegner both added home runs to fuel the 15 run route. Thad Huber contributed going two-for-two.

Kearney will face off against the Iowa State Champion in Indianapolis for the Little League World Series Midwest Regional on August 8.

2011's Midwest Championship pinned Kearney as the Nebraska representative against North/South Dakota. Kearney lost the game, 4-2.

Kearney has represented Nebraska in the Little League World Series four of the last five years.
