The Purdue Boilermakers finished the 2011 season with a 7-6 record and a 4-4 record in the Big Ten Conference. Purdue returns 19 starters from a season ago, including quarterback Caleb Terbush who threw for 1,905 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Purdue opens the non-conference portion of its schedule with games against Eastern Kentucky, Notre Dame, Eastern Michigan and Marshall before opening Big Ten play against Michigan on October 6. Notable conference games for the Boilermakers include Wisconsin, Ohio State, Penn State, Iowa, Illinois and Indiana.
