Ohio University football coach Frank Solich says the key to building a good program is building confidence in players.
Solich leads the Bobcats into Columbus on Saturday to face No. 2 Ohio State. He's been the head coach at Ohio University since 2005. Prior to that, he spent nearly 30 years at Nebraska as a player, assistant coach and the final six as head coach.
Ohio senior cornerback Julian Posey says Solich's big-game experiences have helped the team prepare for challenges such as the 2008 game at Ohio State that the Bobcats led in the fourth quarter before losing 26-14.
Solich is 33-32 with Ohio after a 20-13 loss to Toledo last week put the Bobcats at 1-1 for the season. Ohio was 9-5 last fall and won the MAC East title.
