It seems Mike Leach always has something interesting to say, now the Texas Tech head coach is blaming his player's girlfriends for the Red Raiders recent struggles:

"We failed to make our coaching points more compelling than their fat little girlfriends," Leach said. "Now their fat little girlfriends have some obvious advantages. For one thing, their fat little girlfriends are telling them what they want to hear, like how great you are and how easy it's going to be."

Texas Tech (5-3) is coming off an embarrassing 52-30 loss to Texas A&M and will face Kansas on Saturday.

1. He is a college football coach, not a mentor. This isn't 6 year olds YMCA T-ball. 2. Who did he insult, belittle, or disrespect? I don't recall him singling out anyone in particular. 3. Relax, some of them probably are fat.

So Brian, you would be ok with someone of that stature disrepecting your daughter that way and belittling her?? What does that say about you? Is that how you are to your wife? What a winner you must be! The negative comments have nothing to do with being from Nebraska, the comments come from people with much more respect and dignity. It doesn't matter what state your are in to figure out that Leach made a very poor decision. Hope he gets more than suspension. We would be much better off without him in the respect to football.

Give it a rest...simply Leach's way of saying his player got full of themselves and took A&M for granted. Why dont you whiners find something useful to complain about.

Agree with the suspension, maybe he should be relieved of his duties and made to take a few courses in obeidence. Don't know if he is married but I bet wife and mother are real proud of him right now...hope he doesn't have any daughters. These kinda of guys are an embrassement to humanity. He needs to make an apology have to work in some form of womens' shleter.

Coach Leach needs to be, at the very least, suspended just as ESPN broadcaster Bob Griese was. This is a guy who has no right being a coach. For those parents considering letting their son play for this man...do you really want him to be a mentor to your son? I would think not.
