Northwestern Kendra De Jong is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week. De Jong, a sophomore from Hospers, Iowa, averaged 22.5 points per game along with 4.5 rebounds as the Red Raiders went 2-0 on the week. For the week she shot 63% from the floor making 15-24 shots. At the free throw line she was 15-18 for 83%. Northwestern is now 19-1 on the season and 10-0 in GPAC play. The Red Raiders remained second in Monday’s NAIA Division II women’s basketball rating.
