The first year of the Jerry Kill era as head coach of the Minnesota Golden Gophers wasn’t a great start, but the Golden Gophers finished with three wins last season, two of those wins came against Big Ten opponents. Minnesota returns 16 players from a season ago, including quarterback MarQueis Gray, who threw for 1,495 yards and 8 touchdowns.
The Golden Gophers finished sixth in the Legends Division last year and are tabbed to finish in the same spot this year.
Minnesota’s non-conference slate begins with a game on the road at UNLV, then three home games against New Hampshire, Western Michigan and Syracuse. The Golden Gophers open Big Ten play on the road against Iowa. Other notable games include a road game at Wisconsin, home games against Purdue, Michigan and Michigan State.
Minnesota visits Memorial Stadium on November 17.
