The Northwestern Wildcats finished the 2011 season with a 6-7 season following a 33-22 loss to Texas A&M in the Meineke Car Care Bowl. The Wildcats return 13 starters from a year ago and must replace quarterback Dan Persa. Persa threw for 2,376 yards and 17 touchdowns last season.
Northwestern finished fifth in the Legends Division last season and are picked in the same spot this year.
Northwestern’s non-conference schedule includes games against Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Boston College and South Dakota. The Wildcats open Big Ten play against Indiana and then play Penn State and Minnesota on the road, before hosting Nebraska and Iowa.
