A two-vehicle crash at a rural intersection in central Nebraska has killed a 73-year-old man.
The Buffalo County Sheriff's office said Tuesday that Larry
Homan, of rural Gibbon, died after Monday's crash.
The sheriff's office says Homan's Chrysler van collided with a
semitrailer truck at an intersection about eight miles south of
Ravenna around noon Monday.
The semitrailer was driven by 46-year-old Steven Kucera, of David City.
Officials say Kucera's northbound truck collided with Homan's
westbound van in the intersection.
The area was closed for about five hours while investigators reconstructed the accident.
Homan was taken to a Kearney hospital where he later died.
Kucera was not injured.
Homan's van was totaled and Kucera's semitrailer sustained major
damage.
