Buffalo County Silences Sirens on State Tornado Drill Day

You may have heard sirens in your community today - all part of Severe Weather Awareness Week and a state-wide tornado drill.

But, one county remained silent.

Buffalo County chose not to sound their outdoor warning sirens today.

Emergency Management Director Darrin Lewis says the silence was because county officials wanted to prevent any confusion during today's rainy and overcast weather.
