City of Hastings to Pickup Discarded Christmas Trees

From the City of Hastings:

The City of Hastings Parks and Recreation Department will again be offering free pickup of discarded live Christmas trees this year.

No artificial trees or other products will be accepted.

Trees will be picked up from December 27th through January 27th on the south side of the following park locations:

Carter Park – E Street & Chicago

Harms Park – South Street & Delaware

Lib’s Park – Baltimore & 14th Street

Crosier Park – Pine & 14th Street

The pickup for trees at Chautauqua Park will be at the corner of 3rd and Woodland.

All trees should be free of decorations, bags and stands. A sign will be placed at the location the trees should be deposited.

All trees will be recycled into mulch.
