Authorities say separate traffic stops on Interstate 80 in Seward County in eastern Nebraska netted nearly 4 pounds of heroin, 150 pounds of marijuana and 3 pounds of hashish.
The Nebraska State Patrol says the heroin, with a street value
of $41,000, was found on Friday when a trooper stopped a car for
following too close. The driver was arrested on a drug charge.
The patrol says a trooper who stopped a tow truck on Sunday for
following too close discovered marijuana and hashish in a storage
compartment of the truck being towed. The driver was jailed on a
drug charge.
Officials say the marijuana is worth $450,000, with the street
value of the hashish at $9,000.
