The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating a fatal accident in central Nebraska.
According to NSP officials, a box truck stopping at a railroad crossing, eastbound on Highway 6, was rear ended by a semi truck.
That impact pushed the box truck into westbound traffic hitting a white pickup and killing 52-year-old Neal Sahling and injuring two others.
Police kept a safe area around the scene, closing Highway 6 between Baltimore and Marian Roads.
Police say the closure was due to the hazardous materials contained in batteries that were being transported in the straight truck.
