Voters have rejected a $9.8 million bond measure that would have paid for improvements and more space at the Fillmore Central district high school in Geneva.
The Fillmore County officials said after Tuesday's count that 545 people voted for the measure and 772 voted against it.
The measure would have raised taxes an estimated $115 a year on a property valued at $100,000.
The original high school building in Geneva was built in 1975.
