A slate of 10 public hearings is set for Monday in the state Legislature in an effort to catch up with work postponed because of winter weather last weekend.
Hearings that lawmakers missed on Feb. 3 are set to start at 9:30 a.m. Monday. A second set of hearings is running as usual beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Speaker Mike Flood of Norfolk asked lawmakers to make the schedule change when a winter storm covered much of the state from
Feb. 3 to Feb. 5.
The Legislature scheduled a day of recess on Friday, so the bulk of the work was placed on the Monday agenda.
Among the 32 issues slated for debate is a plan to offer an income tax break to winemakers and grape growers.
