Grand Island Mayor Jay Vavricek's newly formed Mayor Advisory Council took on the topic of the role of city administrator this week.
It's an office that has drawn controversy with the resignation and reinstatement of administrator Mary Lou Brown, but Vavricek said the group doesn't dwell on the past in their meetings.
He said there is a lot of misconception about what the job actually entails.
Vavricek said he hopes to continue the meetings, which are now drawing council members as spectators.
The mayor sat down with Nebraska Central News to talk about the council and their latest topic. Check out the full interview above.
