Former Grand Island Public Works Director John Collins wants his job back, but another candidate vying for his old job says he's the best candidate for the job.
Monday Collins and Paul Snarr were put in front of the media to answer questions.
Collins reflected on his time as Public Works Director before he resigned in July of last year.
He accepted another job in Louisiana, but that job never came to fruition.
Meanwhile Snarr told the media about his extensive background in engineering for both city and county public works divisions.
"Things have progressed more or less, like I was here, like it would have anyway. I don't know if that means I'm useless or they are really good," said Former Public Utilities Director John Collins.
I've been involved in replacement, design, and construction of ten or fifteen miles of highways and interchange projects, bridges," said Candidate Paul Snarr.
We'll likely know which man will get the job during the February 26th city council meeting.
